Waterwatch engages with the community to monitor and raise awareness of our local waterways. Running for over 20 years, the program covers the Murrumbidgee River and Yass River catchments upstream of Burrinjuck Dam - an area of more than 11,000km2.  Venturers in the ACT and surrounding NSW have been volunteering every other month to complete water quality testing across 8 sites and water bug surveys. This data is then collated into an annual Catchment Health Indicator Program report which is used to inform and improve management of catchment areas.
