This event is a combination of two amazing activities. Capture the Flag for the active participants and Paint & Tea for the relaxing and chill approach.
Join us for this creative and fun afternoon with fellow ACT Venturers & Rovers. All ACT Venturers & Rovers are welcomed! Parents, Families and Leaders are welcome to join this event too, either for the whole day or just for the vibes.
Get your game faces on and be prepared to destroy your worst enemies! Well kind of. Compete with your close friends or team up with other units and sections to get your ultimate revenge. A friendly, feisty and a little bit spicy game added to your regular Saturday.
If you prefer a chiller and relaxing afternoon, why not join us for a Paint & Tea session outdoors. Be an artist for an afternoon. Please bring your paints, canvas, and your many selections of tea. Spend the afternoon creating a masterpiece with your friends and fellow scouting members.
Date: Saturday 12th April
Time: 2pm arrival. 2:30pm - 3pm start of game. Pick up anytime after 6pm.
Location: A park close to the Lake Burley Griffin Sea Scouts Hall. To be advised about the exact location closer to date.
Food: ACT Rovers fav time of the day. It's Fiveies time (for 5's). Where we snack on such things as cheese, crackers, chips and fruit platters around 5pm. We may want to start Fiveies early during the afternoon depending on how hungry everyone is. Please bring snacks to share.
Wear: Surprise! It's a themed event! Please wear clothing that represents YOUR UNIT'S geographical location. See details below.
North Canberra Units (Warm Colours): Think red, orange, yellow.
South Canberra Units (Cool Colours): Think blue, green, purple.
The clothing doesn't have to be too extreme, just wear colours that align with the assigned themed colours. I would love to see as many people participating in this theme. This event is designed to be fun. It's a good way to dress up, let your hair down, connect in conversation and enjoy each other's company.
Cost: This will be a fundraising event for our Branch Rover Council. We ask all Venturers & Rover attending could please chip in $10 per person to help run, organise the food and support this event. Payments will be made though the Operoo Events Forms.
